Grand Theft Auto Online has many fast vehicles for players to use across land, sea, and air in Los Santos. From the best cars for races in GTA Online to vehicles to escape from heists, there is something for all players. During 2022 an upgrade for next-gen players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X has seen top speeds blown out of the water, thanks to the in-game character Hao and his Special Works Auto Shop.
The workshop allows certain vehicles access to the HSW upgrade, which boosts performance stats, including vehicles’ top speeds. All the fastest cars available in Grand Theft Auto Online are upgraded thanks to the HSW. The top speeds of vehicles have been tested in-Grand Theft Auto Online by player Broughy1322 according to GTA Base.
10 Pegassi Weaponized Ignus
The Pegassi Weaponized Ignus is one of the few Weaponized cars that can still travel at breakneck speed, which has led to a high price for buyers. In April 2023, its price in Grand Theft Auto Online increased by over $1,000,000 to a total of $4,500,000 at Warstock Cache & Carry, with the HSW upgrade costing an additional $500,000. It has one of the top speeds before being upgraded, but after adding the HSW, it can reach a high of 146.25 mph (235.37 km/h).
9 Grotti Turismo Classic
The Ferrari look-a-like Grotti Turismo Classic is one of the cheapest options for players out of the fastest cars on this list. It can be picked up for $705,000, with only a further $897,000 needed for the HSW upgrade. The classic-looking car can also be rewarded to players for free by completing Tier 4 in the “Los Santos Tuners” category. This makes it a popular choice for players and again passes the 150mph barrier with a maximum speed of 150.50 mph (242.21 km/h), making it perfect for racing.
8 Overflod Entity MT
One of the few Super Cars in Grand Theft Auto Online, the Overflod Entity MT is also one of the fastest ways players can get around all corners of the Los Santos map. The Entity MT can be bought from the online Legendary Motorsport catalog for $2,355,000. The HSW conversion cost to upgrade the Entity MT is $850,000, which pushes its top speed to 150.50 mph (242.21 km/h).
7 Principe Deveste Eight
The Principe Deveste Eight is another of the Super Cars in Grand Theft Auto Online, as well as being one of the best-looking vehicles in the game, making it one of the most popular. Like a real-life Super Car, it can quickly reach its top speed of 151.75 mph (244.22 km/h). It means it is one of the most expensive cars in Grand Theft Auto Online, again available from Legendary Motorsport for a price of $1,795,000 with an HSW upgrade cost of $1,110,000.
6 Bravado Banshee
The Bravado Banshee can be bought by players in Grand Theft Auto Online at Legendary Motorsport and Benny’s Original Motor Works for a price of $105,000. Due to how cheap it is, many players will be happy to use the car with its standard top speed, which can still surpass 117mph. However, the HSW upgrade, which will set players back $1,840,000, sees it have a top speed of 153.00 mph (246.23 km/h).
5 Karin S95
The Karin S95 has long been a favorite for Grand Theft Auto Online players despite the asking price of $1,995,000 at Southern S.A. Super Autos. The HSW Upgrade is cheap compared to many of the vehicles on this list at $525,000. However, for returning players from the previous generation of consoles, the Karin S95 is free, making it a must-use for all players. It can reach a top speed of 155.50 mph (250.25 km/h).
4 Benefactor Stirling
The two-door Mercedes Benz-styled Benefactor Stirling can be purchased in GTA Online from the Vinewood Car Club for $975,000, making it one of the cheaper options on this list. However, for it to go at its top speed, players will need to purchase again the HSW upgrade which will set players back another $900,000. The upgrade takes the Benefactor Stirling’s top speed up to 156.80 mph (252.34 km/h). The Benefactor Stirling is one of the best-handling cars that can use an HSW upgrade.
3 Shitzu Hakuchou Drag Bike
The only non-car to make the top ten list is GTA Online‘s Shitzu Hakuchou Drag Bike which has been in the game since 2016. It is by far the quickest bike in the game, and once the HSW upgrade is added, it can reach a top speed of 157.50 mph (253.47 km/h). It only costs $976,000 to buy from Legendary Motorsport, but the upgrade will set players back $1,450,000. More precise handling is required, as opposed to the cars on this list, but when mastered, it can be controlled better than any other option.
2 Declasse Vigero ZX
Until recently, the Declasse Vigero ZX has been the fastest car available for Grand Theft Auto Online players. Based on the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, the vehicle maxes out at 157.50 mph (253.47 km/h). The ZX can be bought from Southern S.A. Super Autos for $1,947,000, with the HSW upgrade costing an additional $550,000. Along with its incredible speed, it is also one of the best handling options in Grand Theft Auto Online, making it perfect for online races if HSW-upgraded cars are allowed.
1 Grotti Itali GTO Stinger TT
Added as part of the Mercenaries update earlier in June 2023, the Grotti Itali GTO Stinger TT has come straight in as the fastest car available in Grand Theft Auto Online. Based on a Ferrari Roma, once equipped with the HSW upgrade, the car will go at a whopping 168.50 mph (271.17 km/h). With over a 10 mph lead on all vehicles available in Grand Theft Auto Online, the Grotti Itali GTO Stinger TT has a clear edge on all its competitors, but it comes at a cost, $2,380,000 and another $1,418,000 for the HSW upgrade.
