The 33-year-old Tyray has been living a life for the past four years. Tyray who has been insecure about his weight since childhood finally felt accepted when he met Barbados resident Carmella on a dating app. Tyray spoke to the 27-year-old student Carmella on Snapchat alone and didn’t suspect that she might not be real when she refused to get on a video call. Even if he quit his job due to his mom’s illness, Tyray also kept sending money to Carmella.
It was when he auditioned for 90 Day Fiancé that Tyray started discovering one shocking secret about Carmella after another. A preview clip of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days episode 5 shared by People shows Tyray’s sister telling him yet another fact about his online girlfriend that Tyray was not aware of. Tyray tells his sister that a part of him still hopes that Carmella is real and “in prison or something.” At this point, Ashanti admits she wants to “knock some sense” into Tyray’s head because she thinks he’s “delusional.” Instead, Ashanti claims she did a reverse image search on Carmella’s photos to find an escort page with Carmella’s profile on it.
Tyray & Carmella’s 90 Day Fiancé Relationship Explained
Ashanti was doing her own research and that’s when she found the website. The page has a profile with all the naughty pictures Carmella had been sending Tyray. The bio read, “I’m a 31-year-old horny lady. Just want a guy or a girl to go down. Satisfaction guaranteed.” Tyray is obviously stunned by Ashanti’s discovery. Tyray had been creating a storyline of his own in his head ever since he was told that Carmella was a catfish by the 90 Day Fiancé producers. When they called the number provided by Tyray it was answered by a man named Christian who admitted having catfished the Modesto man.
Tyray wants to believe that Carmella may have been locked up in prison and was using him as his pen pal. He thinks that once Carmella was released from prison, her husband found out about Tyray. However, Tyray is living in a world of denial. He has been refusing to listen to the call recording between Christian and the 90DF producers because that would bring him face-to-face with the truth. Tyray has not blocked Carmella on Snapchat yet. He’s even read a message sent by Christian to a producer where he admits he feels “sh***y” to have been dishonest with Tyray. He confesses that at first, it was a way for him to make money because everyone is poor where he’s from.
Tyray’s catfisher shockingly confessed he’d fallen in love with the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star. “I feel so bad but I really needed money. I’m sorry. I do love him, but I can’t be with him,” he’d texted the producer. It could have been this confession that made Tyray think the message was sent by Carmella and not her “husband.” But Ashanti’s discovery brings a new plot twist to this story. Considering that the woman in the photos does exist, even if her name may not be Carmella, Tyray might now hatch a plot to meet her in person.
