Amazon Packing Jobs At Home From US, Are you motivated to drive significant packaging waste reduction efforts across Amazon’s global organization? We’re looking for an experienced, driven, analytical, and creative Senior Program Manager to drive e-commerce packaging strategy and operations integration for our Customer Packaging Experience (CPEX) team.

This Senior PM will manage a portfolio of initiatives and be responsible for developing and scaling sustainable e-commerce packaging standards, solutions, reporting, and tools. Their sphere of influence requires working cross-functionally across several internal stakeholder groups. Their functional expertise will center around the life of the package and what products go through in Inbound Crossdocks (IDX) all the way to Customer Returns.

To be successful, the Senior PM will need excellent communication skills, ownership, and command over data. It will require boots-on-ground visits to deeply understand operations and earn stakeholder trust. In CPEX, we interface with core Operations, Amazon Robotics, Fulfillment Engineering, Finance, Procurement, and Data Science teams to identify solutions that eliminate waste, reduce damages, and drive significant savings for Amazon and our customers.

In addition, this opportunity requires excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and the ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is motivated, agile, and adept at managing competing priorities, with strong time management and project management skills.

Key job responsibilities

  • Manage packaging programs that impact our associates, customers, and costs in Inbound-Crossdock (IXD), and Customer Returns / Reverse Logistics.
  • Travel 50% of the time, generating on-the-ground conversations, insights, and regional improvements
  • Design, implement, and support metrics for the program
  • Collaborate with BI/Data Engineering teams to drive the collection of new data and the refinement of existing data sources to continually improve quality
  • Review information from multiple sources to confirm data integrity
  • Provide clear and timely reporting of key performance metrics across internal & external stakeholders
  • Drive meaningful sustainability discussions to the forefront of operational leaders to model the Leadership principle “Success and Scale Bring Broad Responsibility”

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering or chemical/physics field, Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering or chemical/physics field
  • 5+ years of program management experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal and technical communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong cross-functional stakeholder engagement skills
  • Structured thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Analytical skills: Statistics, Data analysis
  • Experience aligning non-technical and technical resources through project management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with SQL
  • Passion for sustainability
  • Experience with experimentation and network rollouts
  • Prior experience with packaging, operations supply chain projects
  • Boots-on-ground operations experience.

The base pay range for this position is $115,600 – 160,000 per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
