Genshin Impact - Freminet Character Ascension (& Materials)

Farming the necessary materials for Freminet’s character Ascension in Genshin Impact is a long and arduous task, but one that can be facilitated by knowing exactly what is required and how much of each item will be demanded to take him to level 90 and fully upgrade his Talents. Doing this is one of the best ways of optimizing the new Fontaine character as a main DPS, aside from pairing him up with a decent build and team comp. Because Freminet is from Fontaine, most of the required materials for his Ascension are also from the Nation of Justice and, therefore, will require some exploring to farm.

There are some materials needed for Freminet’s character Ascension that can only be found in underwater areas in Genshin Impact. This means that it will be necessary to reach Fontaine and unlock underwater exploration to start gathering some resources. With the character only arriving in Version 4.0’s Phase 2, there is, however, plenty of time to pre-farm materials for Freminet, making the time-consuming activity more spread out over various weeks rather than squeezed into a few days. It should be a smoother process than farming for Lyney’s Ascension in Genshin Impact 4.0.

Materials For Freminet’s Ascension In Genshin Impact

In Genshin Impact, Freminet is known for his diving skills in Fontaine’s underwater portions, and that is reflected in the necessary items for his character Ascension. The first items required for the Fontaine hero are Transoceanic Pearl and its evolutions, Transoceanic Chunk, and Xenochromatic Crystal, respectively.

These items drop from various types of biological opponents found in the underwater areas, specifically creatures known as Fontemer Aberrants. These vary in shape and form, as they can be seals, crabs, stingrays, jellyfish, and various other animal-like opponents. They are present all across Fontaine’s underwater map, so this should be a fairly easy resource to gather.

These items will need to be overfarmed, as they are also needed for the character’s Talents. The other important item needed for Freminet’s character Ascension is Romaritime Flower. This local specialty in Genshin Impact can be found all across the Fontaine region. While they do grow above the ground, their largest clusters form in underwater areas. A total of 168 Romaritime Flowers will be needed to get Fremine to level 90, so farming routes may need to be repeated several times before the required amount is gathered. They are not needed for Freminet’s Talents, however, so it is not necessary to farm a surplus for him.

Another essential material needed for Freminet’s character Ascension is called Artificed Spare Clockwork Component – Coppelius. This item is an exclusive drop from Icewind Suite, a new world boss in Genshin Impact 4.0. To obtain this exact material, it is necessary to prompt the correct fight, as Icewind Suite has two distinct forms. To drop Artificed Spare Clockwork Component – Coppelius, you will need to talk to the NPC called Maillardet near the arena and select the Nemesis of Coppelius fight. Selecting the Dirge of Coppelia fight will prompt the other version of the encounter and, thus, prompt another item to drop.

Freminet’s character Ascension in Genshin Impact will also require a decent amount of Mora and some Shivada Jade stones, which will vary in rarity depending on the exact Ascension being executed. While it may be time-consuming, it is the cheapest of Freminet’s optimization processes, as the upcoming Talent leveling will require much more time investment and usage of resources. It is, however, necessary to maximize his potential as a Physical DPS on the field.

All Of Freminet’s Talent Materials In Genshin Impact

The most difficult part in fully upgrading the character is getting through all levels of Freminet’s Talents in Genshin Impact. As was previously mentioned, it will be necessary to farm a great amount of Transoceanic Pearl, Transoceanic Chunk, and Xenochromatic Crystals. To get all three of his abilities to level 10, an extremely large number will be required, so overfarming during the initial character Ascension farming process may be something of an understatement. Luckily, these items are not too difficult to acquire and are not limited to how much Resin you have available.

A series of items that is, however, locked behind Resin availability are the books required for Freminet’s Talents. To upgrade his skills, Teachings of Justice, Guide to Justice, and Philosophies of Justice will be needed, and these can only normally be farmed from the Fontaine-exclusive Admonishing Engraving Domain in Genshin Impact. Because a large amount is necessary to get Freminet’s abilities to level 10, this Domain will need to be completed multiple times, and, considering the daily limitation to Resin, it may take a few days, if not weeks, to get all the demanded resources.

The last important item for Freminet’s Talents is Worldspun Fern. This resource is one of the possible drops from the Guardian of Apep’s Oasis world boss. Only 18 are required to fully level all three of his abilities, but without the guarantee of a drop and the weekly limitation to challenging the opponent for rewards, it may take some time to gather all 18 parts. Because of this, you may be sidetracked into farming the currency via Blossoms of Wealth. Aside from farming Artifacts with the best stats and sub-stats, this is the most time-consuming portion of Freminet’s full character leveling process. It is certainly worth it, however, as it will boost his damage output and make him a better DPS in Genshin Impact.
