The Dakota State Athletics team, also called the Trojans and Lady T’s, primarily competes in the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA). As a wide receiver, Bergie switched to an offensive position and was responsible for catching forward passes from his quarterback. To do this, he had to be one of the fastest players on the field. For the Park High School Varsity football team, Bergie donned the number 35 jersey.
During his time with the Dakota State University football team, Bergie played as a defensive back. As a defensive back, Bergie was concerned mainly with the defensive aspect of the game. They play furthest back from the line of the scrimmage. For Dakota State University, Bergie donned the number 10.
Bergie played football throughout high school and college. According to his Hudl page, the Love Island star started playing football in 2015.
