The Maintenance Worker is responsible for fulfilling tenant requests and maintenance of lighting, walls, floors, doors, ceilings, and signage in order to retain the appearance and functionality of Bow Valley Square.

This role will also provide primary backup coverage at the Loading Dock where responsibilities will include day-to-day general maintenance, upkeep, cleaning, and management of space/vehicles in the loading dock as needed.

Maintenance Worker Responsibilities

  • Respond to tenant requests regarding lighting, walls, floors, doors, ceilings, and signage.
  • Ensure timely and proper completion of all work orders that come through 310-MAXX.
  • Complete work orders related to preventative maintenance on the Angus Anywhere system.
  • Maintain, clean, and organize all job-related tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Respond to emergency situations in an efficient manner.
  • Other general maintenance and upkeep duties as assigned.

Loading Dock Responsibilities

  • Shipping, receiving, and deliveries to the tenant as needed.
  • Work area maintenance/cleaning, including organizing and emptying waste and recycling containers.
  • Clerical duties: answering the phone, taking freight elevator bookings, signing out freight elevator passes, following up to ensure their return, etc.
  • Control of vehicle traffic in the dock.

To succeed in this role:

  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional work experience.
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service.
  • Knowledge of basic tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, saws, levels, squares, and ladders.
  • Working knowledge of lighting systems, mechanical systems, carpentry, flooring, and drywall is preferred.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
  • Able to assist with lifting heavy loads.
  • Demonstrated strength in the operation of vehicles and traffic direction.
  • Strong knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety codes and requirements.
  • Previous experience in a commercial office building would be an asset.
