Vanderpump Rules Ariana Madix’s new man, Daniel Wai, is earning high praise from her closest friends for the way he prioritizes her. After dealing with the fallout from Scandoval, the name given to the affair Ariana’s ex Tom Sandoval had with her close friend Raquel Leviss, it was clear that Ariana needed a change in her life. Though dating someone just months after getting out a nearly 10-year relationship can be difficult, Ariana has seemed to find a new level of peace in her time with Dan, who has been nothing but supportive of her journey. Even Ariana’s friends and Vanderpump Rules co-stars seem to share that sentiment.
During a recent episode of Scheana Shay’s podcast, Scheananigans, Scheana along with some other friends Jamie Lynn and Janet Elizabeth spoke candidly about their experiences with Ariana and Dan together. They praised him as a “fantastic guy,” sharing that they’re all “obsessed with him…he’s so sweet.” Janet shared that she recently invited Ariana and Dan over for a dinner party, where Dan unexpectedly helped with the cooking throughout the night.
Scheana, who’s spent the most time with Dan so far, was quick to compliment Ariana’s new boyfriend for making sure that she’s comfortable and happy. “He’s great,” she gushed, “I’m like, so happy for them.” Jamie explained that after only having known Ariana during her time with Tom, seeing her with Dan is a whole new experience. “Seeing this new side of her and everything, I was like, oh my gosh,” Jamie shared. “She just seemed so genuinely happy.”
Dan Went All Out For Ariana On Her Birthday
For Ariana’s birthday, which was on June 24, Dan arranged a huge surprise including many of her closest friends. Dan invited Ariana to come to New York for some time together and promised to take her out for a fancy birthday dinner, but on the flight from Los Angeles to New York, she got a huge surprise. Her close friend Brad Kearns was already waiting for her on her flight, and some of her other friends surprised her upon her arrival to New York. The group went to a huge music festival, The Governors Ball, together and everything had been pre-arranged by Dan so that Ariana could simply enjoy herself.
Though it’s only been a few months since Ariana found out that Tom and Raquel were engaging in a relationship, she’s seemed to move on in a fairly healthy way. With Tom’s true colors finally being revealed, Ariana has taken time to decompress from the relationship and ultimately choose to move forward. She’s shared that though she was angry when she first found out, her anger quickly turned to indifference which likely made beginning to date Dan an easier pill to swallow. With a new man who treats her well by her side, Ariana seems happier than ever and is continuing to thrive after an incredibly difficult time.
With Vanderpump Rules season 11 beginning to film over the last week, it’s become clear that Ariana will continue to appear on the show. This begs the question of whether or not Dan will make an appearance on the popular reality TV series, or if he will continue to be an off-screen presence. Though no one will know if Dan is filming for the series until someone leaks it or the show comes back, it seems like a safe bet that with how happy she is, Ariana will want to share the joy and love surrounding her life with the Vanderpump Rules viewers.
